This is really sad. At least 49 people feared dead when an Indonesian plane caught fire on wednesday 7th March, 2007. The local Indonesian airlines Garuda Boeing 737-400 overshot the runway at Yogyakarta airport and exploded in flames at 7am local time, burning some of the 133 passengers and seven crew alive in their seats. According to the survivors the plane shook violently before it hit the runway and overshot the runway bursting into flames.


During the recent months numerous catastrophes occured in Indonesia. On 2007 New year day, Air Andaman flight carrying 102 passengers crashed into the sea killing all the people on board. On friday hundreds of Indonesian people prayed in the biggest mosque in the capital of Jakarta, hoping for the ending of the rampant catastrophes that have claimed hundreds and thousands of lives.
