Tragedy again hit Indonesia in the form of earth quake. After the flood and ferry fire, it was earth quake that shook Indonesia. At least 80 people were killed in a powerful earth quake that measured 6.6 on the Richter scale which rocked the Sumatra Islands of Indonesia. According to the US Geological Survey, the earth quake hit at 10:49 am (0349 GMT) about 50 kilometres northeast of the West Sumatra capital Padang. Tanah Datar, Solok and Padang were among the worst affected areas in Sumatra Islands.
