Disaster struck again in Indonesia. At least 15 people died and more than 60 seriously injured when a passenger ferry caught fire on its way from Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta to Bangka island. Ferry Fire The cause the fire is still unknown. Recently many such tragedies occured in Indonesia. On February 9th I posted about the Indonesian flood scenes. During the recent months many passenger carrier disasters occured in Indonesia. More than 400 people were killed in late December, a passenger ferry sank in a storm in the Java Sea. A month ago, a Boeing 737-400 passenger plane crashed into the ocean near Indonesia, killing all 102 people on board. More news about the ferry disaster can be read here. Incidently my last post was about another similar disaster in India, where terrorists set fire in a passenger train.

Update: The death toll raised to 49. But unofficial news hints that the death toll could be as high as three times of the official figure. More than 290 people have been rescued already.
