This is a night of joy for millions of Indians. The Indian cricket team created history in Brisbane when they defeated defending world cricket champions Australia by 2-0 in tri-series cricket cup finals. The angry Indian cricket fans have finally got something to celebrate. This is the first ever tri-series win for Indian in Australia.
It has been a a turbulent tour for Indians, marked by a racism row involving Harbhajan Singh and a series of on-field bickering. Part of the blame goes to Australian media who were trying to exploit the feeling of Australian cricket fans by pin pointing some of the Indian players. After their lost in the first final of the CB cup, even the famous Australian cricket website cricketnews.com.au picked on Harbhajan Sing.

Australia lost, the all conquering almighty team of the past two decades came crashing down and it was all due to one man. The turbinator, the man publicly named as an obnoxious weed - Harbhajan Singh brought the downfall of Australia by his mere presence.
Had the Australian cricket players choose to play good cricket instead of picking on Indian players, things would have been different. I know many Australians who are unhappy with the whole thing. At least some of my Australian friends do feel that Cricket is a game which is meant to improve friendship and better relation between the players and the countries. I know Indians share the same views. It is probably the Australian media who made things worse.
Sachin Tendulkar who led Indian to their first final victory at Sydney with his superb century again displayed a magnificent batting performance to hit a near miss century. Sachin was dismissed when his score was at 91. This is the sixteenth time the Indian batting star is loosing his wicket at nineties. Sachin is on the top of the list of batsmen who lost wicket during the nineties. Man of the match Praveen Kumar bowled brilliantly to capture 4 wickets including three top order Australian batsmen.
All credits goes to Dhoni and his boys! Congratulations and keep up the good work guys!
