How to Change Firefox Google Search Language to English?
This solution works for Firefox 3.0.13. I am not sure if the same technique will work for future versions. Ok, let’s fix our problem.

• 1. Go to the firefox folder inside your computer. Typically it is located at, C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
• 2. Open the google.xml file under the search plugins folder. That is go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins and right click on google.xml and “open with” notepad.
• 3. Towards the middle of the file you will see,

  <param name=“q” value=“{searchTerms}”/>

• 4. Add the following to the next line.

  <param name=“hl” value=“en”/>

So now your google.xml file should look like,

<param name=“q” value=“{searchTerms}”/>
<param name=“hl” value=“en”/>
<param name=“ie” value=“utf-8″/>

…..
• 5. Save the file
• 6. Restart firefox

Now all the search results should be displayed in English. Hope I saved some of you guys from losing your sanity. LOL!

This is a screenshot of a local newspaper website from India. If you check the source code they have only 3 ad units. But they are 120×600 ads.

This is how did the trick.
1. First they have created a page with just two ad blocks. You can see the page here.

2. Next they called the above page twice on their regular content pages through iframes.

3. Use the power of CSS to display the ads close.
Sneaky!

The sad part is that most of these sites will not be punished by google since they are considered as authority websites. If a regular webmaster does this, then he is banned from adsense. Way to go!!

According to this policy, publishers must notify their users of the use of cookies and/or web beacons to collect data in the ad serving process.

So what will do if you have many sites? Go and write privacy policy for each of these sites. That will be really time consuming. But don’t worry. How to use Print Screen to capture a video shot from windows media player?

I used to play the video in windows media player and simply press the PrintScreen button to capture a screen shot of the video. But that only worked in the earlier version. The new versions of windows media player (I am using version 11) is giving me a black space at the video area after the Print Screen shot is pasted in my favorite photo editor (photoshop). So I digged a bit to find out how can I solve the windows media player print screen problem. After searching on many forums and playing with many settings on media player I found that the video acceleration setting is the culprit. So here you go.

Open windows media player.
From the top menu choose, Tools>>Options
A new window with Option will open. In the Options window choose Performance tab.

Under the Performance tab you can see Video acceleration. Click on Advanced.
Under the advanced Video Acceleration Settings, uncheck Use overlays. Click Ok and apply. You are ready to go.
