Wine is becoming more and more popular in China. Japan is the largest wine market in Asia. In 2005 China was in 10th position in the list of biggest wine consuming nation. The wine market in China is exploding and China is soon going to be the biggest Asian country in terms of wine consumption. According to a study conducted by Vinexpo, Chinese will drink almost 150 million gallons of wine by the year 2010. Though local wines are getting more popular in China, the import volume of wine from western and other Asian countries to China is also seems to grow simultaneously.
Now, who wants to compete with China for drinking wine? Japanese, Indians or Thais?
